Best Of Releases

These release names usually contain "Best Of" in the title, or are compilations of shows. "Best Of The Chris Rock Show" and "Beany And Cecil (Special Edition)" are two examples.

Individual Episode Releases

Individual episode releases contain one or more shows on a disc. They are either in order of broadcast (examples, Farscape, ReBoot) or out of order (Twilight Zone, later South Park releases). A mini-series is also considered to be an individual release.

Season Set Releases

A season set is a release that contains all the episodes in a season. A few examples of TV shows with season sets are Sex and the City, X-Files, and The Sopranos. These usually come in boxed sets.
